Reference
MNPBEM dipoleret
Kind
code: another group's code
Calculated
total and radiative decay rates 5 nm from a 40 nm sphere (ε = −10 + i), radial and tangential
Agreement
converges toward PyStratify; finest mesh 1.4% (radial total), 0.04% (tangential)
A dipole 5–40 nm from a 40 nm sphere of ε = −10 + i in vacuum, 600 nm: decay rates against MNPBEM MNPBEM's dipoleret solves the boundary integral equations for the dipole's field; its triangles are ~2 nm, so the difference grows toward the surface (33% for the radial rate at 2 nm, not shown). The test follows four meshes at 5 nm (1.4% radial, 0.04% tangential at 2044 faces).
