lossless limit: a source outside a lossless guide equals the k → 0 limit of an absorbing one
Kind
analytic: a closed form, limit or conservation law: independent of any code
Calculated
ED and MD rates, sources above and below two guides
Agreement
1e-5; observed ≤ 2e-7
A dipole above 200 nm of TiO₂ (n = 2.3) on glass, 633 nm: the lossless guide against the k → 0 limit of an absorbing one From outside a lossless guide the power coupled into its modes must still be counted: with real poles PyStratify takes their residues; with a trace of loss the same power is absorbed along the guide instead. The two must agree (1e-5 in the test, both guides, electric and magnetic, from above and below). Before 0.10.3 the guided power was dropped here.
